He is an English actor. He had his break-through role as the elf-prince Legolas in The Lord of the Rings and blacksmith Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy of films, and Troy, Elizabethtown, and Kingdom of Heaven. Also in the sequels of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
